The largest nougat weighs 1,300 kg (2,866 lb) and was made by Jerome Guigon and Bernard Morin (France) of the company Maître Gourmet, in Montélimar, France, on 20 June 2005. Largest non-polar ice field

Located in Yukon Territory, Canada, the 21,980-km² (8 490-mile²) Kluane National Park and Reserve is home to the largest ice field outside the Poles. Around 2,500­3,000 m (8,200­9,800 ft) high, it occupies more than half of the park and incorporates glaciers that stretch for 60 km (37 miles).

Largest ninepin bowling tournament

The largest ninepin bowling tournament consisted of 324 participants at the Funk Galanta Ninepin Bowling Marathon 2010 in Galanta, Slovakia, from 16-19 December 2010. The tournament drew players from Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary. The format consisted of each player bowling four turns and tallying up the aggregate scores to determine the final standings. The winner was Lubomír Bugár with a score of 611 across his four throws.

Largest networked chess computer

On 30 January 2004, Danish Grand Master Peter Heine Nielsen played a game of chess against ChessBrain, the world’s largest networked chess computer. It consisted of 2,070 computers located in 56 countries, which simultaneously combined their processing power. The match was professionally referreed and took place in Copenhagen, Denmark, and ended in a draw after 34 moves. The ChessBrain project was founded by Carlos Justiniano (USA) and Colin Frayn (UK).

Belarus artist Alexander Kishchenko (b.1933) completed a hand-woven tapestry entitled Tapestry of the Century in 1995 that was 19 m. (62.3 ft.) tall and 14 m. (45.9 ft.) wide, with a total area of 266 sq. m. (2,863 sq. ft.).

Largest neckerchief and woggle

The largest neckerchief measures 53.7 m x 37.1 m x 37.1 m (176 ft 2.4 in x 121 ft 8.4 in x 121 ft 8.4 in) and the largest woggle measures 1.03 m (3 ft 4.55 in) in diameter and 1 m (3 ft 3.37 in) in height, and were created by the 1st Kandy Dharmaraja Scout Group (Sri Lanka) and measured at the Dhamaraja College, Kandy, Sri Lanka, on 20 February 2014.

The largest nut mosaic was measured 44.16 m² ( 475 ft² 48 in² ), was created by the students of the Lo Fung Art Gallery Ltd, Lo Fung Art Centre, Lo Fung Musical Center, with the theme of ‘The expedition for Truth, Kindness & Beauty’ in Lo Fung Art Gallery, Hong Kong, China, on 8 July 2011 There are more than 2500 children and their parents involved. The largest ‘Nussecke’ weighs 450 kg (992 lb 1.28 oz) and measures 5.57 m (18 ft 3.29 in) x 5.67 m (18 ft 7.23 in) x 9 m (29 ft 6.33 in) x 3.5 cm (1.38 in). It was prepared by 20 bakeries members of the German baker guild Rhein-Mosel-Eifel on 17 December 2010 at Deutsches Eck in Koblenz, Germany. With around one million patronymics, France is the country with the largest number of surnames in the world. It is estimated that 200,000 names have dissapeared over the last century while 520,000 new surnames have appeared. The study was published in The Atlas of Surnames, in France. It states that, since 1891, 100 people were born with the name Grenouille (frog), some of whom have changed it to the better sounding Deletang (from the pond).
