The largest parade of Mini cars consisted of 1,450 Minis and was organised by the London & Surrey Mini Owners Club as part of the London to Brighton Mini Run, Crystal Palace, UK, on 17 May 2009. The 2-mile course was round Crystal Palace Park with the majority of the Minis part of the London & Surrey Mini Owners Club with other mini drivers coming from around the UK and as far as the Netherlands.
The largest parade of military motorcycles consisted of 144 motorcycles that where all manufactured during the Second World War. The parade was organized by Peter Brown (UK) and took place between Vers sur Mer and Asnelles, France, on 6 June 2009. The witnesses, who were experts in the field, confirmed that all motorcycles were indeed military motorcycles, and not just manufactured during World War 2. The parade was held in commemoration of the D-Day landing 65 years ago.
The largest parade of Mercedes Benz cars consisted of 219 vehicles and was organised by Peter Mohr from SLK-Risti (both Germany). The parade covered 24.433 km (15.18 miles) around the Nürburgring race circuit, Germany, on 15 October 2011. SLK-Risti is an owners group specifically for the Mercedes Benz SLK car models, 207 of the 219 cars participating were SLK’s. The event was used to raise money for charity.
The largest parade of Mazda cars is 459 and was achieved by Mazda MX-5 (Germany) at Zeche Zollverein Essen, in Essen, Germany, on 18 September 2010. The record attempt was held to celebrate Mazda’s 20th anniversary. The minimum distance of the parade had to be 3.2 km (2 miles) and the attempt started at 5pm. There were 13 Mazda onwers that drove from Moscow, Italy, France, Sweden and Denmark to take part.
A total of 743 Smart cars participated in a parade organized by Mercedes Benz Austria in Zell am See, Austria, on 23 August 2007. The attempt took place during a three day meeting of Smart fans from all over europe.
The largest parade of Segways featured 119 participants and was achieved by Alfred Kärcher GmbH & Co. KG (Germany), in Potsdam, Germany, on 28 July 2011. There were originally 120 participants but one dropped out, the route taken covered 3,577 m (11,735 ft 6.49 in) through the Lustgarten in Potsdam, Germany.
The largest parade of scooters featured 860 participants and was achieved by Yorkshire Scooter Alliance on the Humber Bridge, Hull, UK, on 14 August 2010. 864 scooters crossed the bridge, but the last 4 had to be discounted because they drove behind the back up vehicle at the end of the parade.
The largest parade of Scion cars was 535 cars, organized by Scion Los Angeles Region (USA) on a course from Irwindale, California, USA to Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, California, USA, on 26 October 2010. Lauren Lorey adjudicated.
The largest parade of inline skaters consisted of 1,188 participants who skated for 20.4 km (12.68 miles) on the streets of Paris in an event organised by Rollers & Coquillages (France) in Paris, France, on 15 June 2008.
The largest parade of Renault cars was 678 in an event organised by the N-GINE Renault F1 Team Show at the Poznan race track in Przezmierowo, Poland, on 17 July 2010. The race track was 4.083 km (2.53 miles) long.
