Largest residential palace

The palace (Istana Nurul Iman) of HM the Sultan of Brunei in the capital Bandar Seri Begawan was completed in January 1984 at a reported cost of £300 million ($422 million). It is the largest residence in the world, with a floorspace of 200,000m2 2152780ft2, 1788 rooms and 257 lavatories. The largest restaurant is the Bawabet Dimashq Restaurant (Damascus Gate Restaurant) which has 6,014 seats. The largest retractable utility knife measured 816 mm (32.1 in) in length, 83 mm (3.26 in) wide and 268 mm (10.55 in) tall and was made by Olympia Tools International in City of Industry, California, USA. The knife was measured on May 1, 2012 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Largest retrograde satellite

Triton, the largest satellite of Neptune, measures 2,706 km (1,681 miles) across. It is the seventh largest moon in the Solar System, and the largest moon which orbits its planet backwards. Its retrograde orbit means Triton is slowly losing energy and spiralling in towards Neptune. Between 10 and 100 million years from now Triton will be so close to Neptune that it will be ripped apart by tidal forces, forming a new ring system around the planet

The largest returning boomerang measures 2.59 metres (8 ft 5 in) from tip to tip and was made from fir wood with epoxy fortyfied wingtips. It was successfully thrown by Gerhard Walter (Austria) at the University Sports Centre in Graz, Austria, on 1 July 2008.

Largest revolving globe

A sphere 12.52 m 41 ft 18 in in diameter, weighing 2,540 kg 5600 lb called Eartha was designed and built by Delorme in Yarmouth, Maine, USA in 1998 The globe which took two years to build, rotates and revolves on a specially specially designed cantilever arm and rotates on an axis. It is powered by two electric-powered motors, which are commanded by a computer. It represents the earth as it is seen from space and is housed in a three storey glass atrium.

Largest revolving restaurant

The largest revolving restaurant is Bellini, located on the 45th floor of Mexico City’s World Trade Center. The restaurant has an area of 1,044.66 m² (11,244.58 ft²). The restaurant has a capcity for 332 people and was originally opened in 1994.

Largest revolving stage

The largest revolving stage measured 10 m x 9.44 m (32 ft 10 in x 31 ft) and was used by Aaron Kwok (Hong Kong) for the Aaron Kwok De Show Reel Extension Live Concert at the Asia World Arena, Hong Kong, on 17 February 2008.

Largest rice cake

The largest rice cake weighed 3.68 tonnes (8,113 lb) and was made by Kwak Sungho and staff of Han Bbang (South Korea) at the 12th World Rice Food Festival, Dongjin-gun, Chungnam, South Korea on 7 October 2007. The rice cake was 3.7 m (12 ft) in diameter.
