The largest pair of functional scissors measure 2.31m (7 ft 7 in) from tip to handle. They were manufactured by Neerja Roy Chowdhury (India) and unveiled at the Air Force Auditorium, New Delhi, India, on 16 August 2009. Neerja was inspired to make the scissors after writing her own comic book which she describes as ‘unconventional’.
The science fiction club with the largest membership is Starfleet, the International Star Trek Fan Association. Founded in 1974 and based in Independence, Missouri, USA, the organization boast over 4,100 annual members dedicated to the ideals of the Star Trek television series. Created by the late Gene Roddenberry, Star Trek depicts the future galactic adventures of a starship and its diplomatic mission to seek out new life and new civilizations.

The largest school in terms of pupils is the City Montessori School in Lucknow, India, which had a record enrolment of 39,437 pupils on 9 August 2010 for the 2010-2011 academic year. The school was founded by Mr. Jagdish Gandhi and his wife Mrs Bharti Gandhi. The largest scotch egg weighed 6.2 kg (13 lb 10 oz) and was made by Clarence Court and Lee Streeton (both UK) at the Albemarle of Rocco Forte’s Brown’s Hotel, London, UK, on 30 July 2008. A 1.7 kg ostrich egg, 4 kg of sausage meat, 940 g of haggis and 800 g of breadcrumbs were used. The entire cooking took more than eight hours.
The largest sculpting lesson was attended by 588 participants during an event organised and conducted by Wanda Goodman (Canada) and held at KidsFest, in Ontario, Canada, on 5 July 2014 The record was attempted in honor of Eden Worth, a student of Wanda’s who passed away from a rare form of cancer at age 12. All of the participants made elephants because it was Eden’s favorite animal.
The largest scuba diving lesson was attended by 2,465 people and was achieved in Malalayang beach, Manado, Indonesia, during an event organised by the Indonesian Navy, on 16 August 2009. Some basic scuba diving techniques like the mask recovery were performed during the scuba diving lesson at a depth of about 10-15 meters.
The largest screw artwork contained 235,500 metal screws in an artwork depicting the poet Homer on a banknote created by Saimir Strati (Albania) in Tirana, Albania, unveiled in celebration of Guinness World Records Day on 18 November 2010. The entire artwork measured 9.4 m² (101.18 ft²).
