The most balloons blown up in an hour by a team is 39,522 balloons and was achieved in an event organised by HUBO in Brussels, Belgium on 29 November 2009. The event was organised to celebrate the launch of the 100th HUBO chain store.
The record for the most ballet leg switches in one minute is 71 and was set by Kathryn Pounder and Rebecca MacEnri (both UK) from Aquabatix, UK in the Trafalgar Square fountains, London, UK on 9 November 2006 as part of Guinness World Records Day.
Jeanne-Carlin Cilliers (South Africa) performed 1,199 continuous grand battements alternating legs, at the Virgin Active Club, Kimberley, Northern Cape, South Africa on 5 March 2005. The exercise is where the working leg is raised from the hip into the air and brought down again with both knees kept straight. This must be done with apparent ease, the rest of the body remaining quiet. Grands battements can be taken devant, derrière and à la seconde.

The four bean eaters all work at St. Catherine’s CE Primary School in Bolton. Heinz brand baked beans were used for the challenge.
