This record is ongoing as Casillas is still the starting goalkeeper for Real Madrid in current Champions League competitions.

The record attempt involved 9,621 individuals who were filmed around the country. All recorded cheers have been collated to create one big cheer. At the 19th mile of the London Marathon, which is considered the toughtest stage, Sir Richard Brandson (dressed as a cheerleaders coach) and his daughter Holly (dressed as a cheerleader) counted down to play the cheer to all the runners.
