Largest gathering of ABBA impersonators

The largest gathering of ABBA impersonators is 368 individuals, or 92 bands, and took place at Kew Primary School in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, on 17 November in celebration of Guinness World Records Day 2011. Ten witnesses and one official GWR adjudicator oversaw the counting of the participants, which were all students, teachers and parents. The original count was 384 but 16 participants were identified as not having sung the whole way through the song “Waterloo”, and were therefore discounted from the total.

Largest herbivorous burrowing mammal

Up to 1 m (3 ft 3 in) long and 40 kg (88 lb) in weight, the world´s largest species of herbivorous burrowing mammal is the northern hairy-nosed wombat (Lasiorhinus krefftii) of Queensland, Australia. One of the world´s rarest mammals, it is classed as Critically Endangered by the IUCN, and is entirely restricted to a single 3-km2 (1.1-m2) area within Queensland´s Epping Forest National Park. The total population is currently estimated at approximately 90 individuals.

The largest lamington weighed 2,361 kg (5205 lb) and was made by Quality Desserts and the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce at Newtown Rugby Club, Toowoomba, Australia, on 11 June 2011. The colossal confectionery beat the previous record holder by a nail-biting 1kg (2.2 lbs)!

The largest penny-farthing racing championship is the National Penny Farthing Championship held in Evandale, Tasmania, Australia, with 15 separate events. This annual championship was instituted in 1983 and considered to be the world’s most prestigious penny-farthing racing event.

The world´s largest serving of risotto weighing 7.51 tonnes (16.556.69 lb) was made by the Ricegrowers’ Association of Australia and displayed at First Fleet Park, Circular Quay, Sydney, Australia on 26 November 2004. Chris Sheedy adjudicated.
