Largest private Rolls-Royce fleet

Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei is believed to have a private collection of around 500 Rolls-Royces – the largest collection of its kind in the world. During the 1990s, his family accounted for almost half of all Rolls-Royce purchases. Largest residential palace

The palace (Istana Nurul Iman) of HM the Sultan of Brunei in the capital Bandar Seri Begawan was completed in January 1984 at a reported cost of £300 million ($422 million). It is the largest residence in the world, with a floorspace of 200,000m2 2152780ft2, 1788 rooms and 257 lavatories. The underground garage accommodates the Sultan’s 153 cars.  Rate of exchange Jan 1984 – 1.4082 = $422.46 

Most countries to participate in an international military tattoo

The most countries to participate in an international military tattoo performance is 13 at the Brunei Darussalam International Tattoo 2006 which was organised by the Ministry of Defence and the Royal Brunei Armed Forces at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Brunei Darussalam from 29 July – 1 August 2006. The performance was a special event to mark the 60th birthday celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzadin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
