Fastest 300 km by speed boat

The fastest 300 km by speed boat is 1 hour 55 minutes and 14 seconds and was achieved by Sheikh Hassan bin Jabor al-Thani and Abdullah al-Sulaiti (both Qatar) at an event organised by Qatar Marine Sports Federation in Doha, Qatar, on 10 February 2010. The route, pre-approved by Guinness World Records, was from Abu Dhabi to Doha, Qatar. The boat used was a twin gas turbine engine Nor-Tech speed boat named Qatar Challenger. The engines on the boat are also used on Cobra helicopters.

Largest board game, Monopoly

The largest Monopoly board game measured 216.97 m2 (2,335.5 ft2) and was created by q.media events during the Doha Trade Fair 2011 at Doha Exhibition Centre, in Doha, Qatar, on 4 June 2011. The board measured 14.74 m x 14.74 m (48 ft 4 in x 48 ft 4 in). The monopoly board was made from Acrylic sheets and was an exact replica of the British version monopoly.

Largest chandelier

The largest chandelier named “Reflective Flow” weighs 18, 000 kg (39, 683 lb) and consists of 165, 000 LED units. The chandelier was measured in the Ali Bin Khalifa Al Hitmi & Co building where it is installed in Doha, Qatar, on 23 June 2010. The chandelier was designed by Beau McClellan (Scotland) for Mr Al Hitmi of Ali bin khalifa Al Hitmi & Co property development firm (Qatar). The largest flag draped measured 101,978 m² (1,097,682 ft²) and was achieved by Moquim Al Hajiri (Qatar) of Brooq Magazine (Qatar), in Doha, Qatar, on 16 December 2013. The dimensions of the flag are: 509.97 x 199.97 m (1,673 ft 1.5 in x 656 ft 0.83 in).

The largest football (soccer ball) measures 12.188 m (39 ft 11.8 in) in diameter and was made by Doha Bank (Qatar) in Doha, Qatar on 12 February 2013. The largest football (soccer ball) has a circumference of 38.30 m (125 ft 8 in) and weighs approximately 960kg. It was displayed in the Lulu Hypermarket car park in Doha.

Largest gilded image on paper

The largest gilded image on paper is 6m² (64.58ft) and was unveiled during the Aqlam calligraphy exhibition in Doha (Qatar), during an event organised by Fanar (Islamic Cultural Centre) in Doha (Qatar) on 14 March 2010. The record was broken during an exhibition at Fanar for the arabic calligraphy event called the Aqlam Exhibition. Longest drilled oil well

The worlds longest drilled oil well is BD-04-A, with a total length of 40,320 ft MDRT. It was completed in May 2008 by Maersk Oil Qatar and Qatar Petroleum, in the Al-Shaheen offshore oil field off the coast of Qatar. The well includes a horizontal section measuring 35,770 ft. MDRT (measured depth below rotary table).

The most amount of money paid for a mobile (cell) phone number is 10 million QAR (then £1.46 million; $2.75 million), by an anonymous Qatari bidder for the number 666-6666 during a charity auction hosted by Qatar Telecom in Doha, Qatar on 23 May 2006. Most people dancing with swords

The most people dancing with swords was an Ardha dance achieved by 410 participants from the state national day celebrations organizing committee and students from local schools, at the Aspire dome, in Doha, Qatar, on 19 December 2010. The record attempt was part of Qatar national day celebrations. Ardha is a folkloric dance in the Arabian Peninsula, the dance is usually performed by men carrying swords or canes and it’s accompanied by drums and spoken verse.
