In 1953 the Kutiah Glacier in Pakistan advanced more than 12 km (7.4 miles) in three months, averaging some 112 m (367 ft) per day – the fastest glacial surge.
Nanga Parbet, in Pakistan, is growing taller at a rate of 7 mm (0.27 in) per year. The mountain is part of the Himalayan Plateau, formed when India began colliding with the Eurasian continental plate between 30 and 50 million years ago.
The first successful ascent of K2, which at 8,611 m (28,251 ft) is the world’s second highest mountain, was achieved by Achille Compagnoni and Lino Lacedelli (both Italy) on 31 July 1954. They were members of an Italian expedition led by Ardito Desio. K2 is situated in the Karakoram range on the border between Pakistan and China.
Wanda Rutkiewicz (Poland) reached the summit of K2, the world’s second highest mountain, on 23 June 1986, becoming the first woman to climb the 8,611 m (28,251 ft) peak. Rutkiewicz, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest female climbers ever, was killed on a climb in December 1992.

The highest batting partnership formed by two players playing in their first Test matches is 249 runs by Khalid Ibadulla (b. 20 December 1935) and Abdul Kadir (b. 1944, d. 2002) for Pakistan against Australia in Karachi, Pakistan, in the match played 24-29 October 1964.
The largest flaming image using candles consisted of 35,478 candles and was achieved by 118 Sandoz employees (Pakistan) at the Hotel Serena in Faisalabad, Pakistan, on 10 December 2009. The completed image depicted the Sandoz logo and motto and had an area of 910.45 m² (9,800 ft²). It took the 118 participants 7 hours to draw the image, 1.5 hours to place the candles, and 42 minutes to light all of them.

The largest kidney weighed 1.8 kg and measured 30 x 13 x 10 cm (11.81 x 5.12 x 3.94 in). It was removed from Mst. Waziran Malah (Pakistan) by Dr. Abdul Rasheed Shaikh at the Chandka Medical College Hospital, Larkana Sindh, Pakistan, on 26 January 2010. It was Waziran Malah’s non- functioning left hydronephrotic kidney.
The largest paint swatch measured 7.66 m² (82.4 ft²) and was created by Master Paints Industries (PVT) Ltd (Pakistan) and unveiled in an event organized by Punjab Youth Festival in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan, on 13 March 2013. The sides of the paint swatch were 6.27 m X 1.21 m (20.6 ft X 4 ft). It was completed on 26 October 2012 by Sheraz Sarfaraz, Salman Zahoor, M. Waqas and Zuhaib. The colours displayed were: Badami, Rose Petal, Barley White, Cockleshell, Mushroom, Copper and Dark Brown
