Fastest crossing of the Atlantic by solar-power

The fastest transatlantic crossing made completely under solar power is 22 days 12 hr 32 min by MS TÛRANOR PlanetSolar (Switzerland) and its crew of six from Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, Spain to Marigot, Saint Martin, from 26 April to 18 May 2013. The MS TÛRANOR PlanetSolar previously held this record with a time of 26 days 19 hr 10 min.

Fastest fire fighting attack, Class A – CTIF

The fastest completion of the CTIF’s Fire Fighting Attack Class A competition is 28.5 seconds and was achieved by the Ebersegg fire brigade (Austria) at the 15th International Fire Brigade Competition in Mulhouse, France, on 19 July 2013. The CTIF’s “fire-fighting Olympics” take place every four years. The record for the fastest time for a team of five to throw and catch a flying disc down a course of 20 m and back again is 16 seconds and was set by Emmanuelle Tartoue, Yoann Greau, Michel Affile, Vincent Levievse and Amaury Guerin (all France) on the set of L’Ete De Tous Les Records, Benodet, France on 4 August 2004.
