The most trees planted by a team of 100 people in 1 hour is 40,885 and was achieved by Haltugaon Forest Division, Kokrajhar in partnership with 135 Infantry Battalion (TA) Eco Task Force and 15th Battalion the Dogra Regiment (all India) in Kokrajhar District, Assam, India, on 29 April 2012. The motto of the record attempt was ‘Plant Trees, Save Lives’ and the aim was to save the forests of the region and to increase environmental awareness.

The most trees planted in 24 hours by a team of 300 people is 611,137 and was achieved by the District Administration of Dungarpur (India) at village Khemaru, village panchayat Gadamoriya, Dungarpur, India, from 11 to 12 August 2009. Oldest aircraft carrier in service

In 1959 the UK’s Royal Navy commissioned the HMS Hermes, a Centaur class aircraft carrier. Fully loaded she displaces 28,700 tonnes and measures 226.5 m long with a beam of 48.78 m, and has a maximum speed of 28 knots (52 km/h). She served as the UK’s taskforce flagship during the conflict with Argentina over the Falkland Islands in 1982. Sold to the Indian Navy in 1986, she currently serves as India’s flagship and has been renamed INS Viraat.

Oldest appointed Prime Minister

The oldest age at first appointment has been 81, in the case of Morarji Ranchhodji Desai (1896-1995) of India, March 1977. Leading an opposition coalition, he prevailed in the 1977 elections, ending Gandhi’s emergency rule. He served as prime minister until 1979, when the coalition broke apart. Philippe Petain (1856-1951), although not `Prime Minister’, became `Chief of State’ of the French State on July 10, 1940, at the age of 84.

The oldest player to score a century in minor cricket is Neville Wadia (India, b. 27 May 1945) who was 63 years 305 days old when he made 105 for Waghodia Road Cricket Team against Vrajdham Vadil Pariwar Team, at Sitabaug Ground, Manjalpur, Baroda, India, on 28 March 2009.
