The longest career as a motor racing driver is 39 years 364 days and was achieved by Laurentiu Moldovan (Romania) who raced in rally cars and formula 1 style cars from 7 July 1968 to 6 July 2008. Larentiu died on 6 July 2008 in his first ever accident on the track, he was racing in Romania’s national championships. He won multiple national titles during the 1970s. The record for the longest chain of condoms is 3,269.46 m (10,726 ft 6 in) and was achieved by PSI Romania in Unirii Boulevard, Bucharest, Romania, on the 28th October 2007. The chain consisted of 25.773 condoms and was tied together by 1683 participants. The condoms were of the romanian brand “Love Plus”

The longest straw chain measured 11,298 m (37,066 ft 10 in) using 58,469 drinking straws. The chain was made by Petru Pognaru, Marcu Cristi and 27 Students (all Romania) at Dacia Square, Buzau, Romania, on 10 July 2008.

The most arm wrestling matches in 24 hours is 1,024, achieved by Ion Oncescu (Romania) at the Sun Plaza Shopping Center, Bucharest, Romania, on 12 February 2012. A €1,000 prize was offered to anyone that could beat Oncescu and the attempt attracted some serious competitive wrestlers but he won every match.

The most letters received in a lifetime is 22,018 by Gabriel Antoniu Lavrincic (Romania), who corresponded with children from the USSR between 1987 and 1991. All letters are well preserved and complete with their envelopes and postage stamps and postmarks. In the process, Gabriel Antoniu Lavrincic learnt Russian from his pen friends.
