The most pine boards broken with feet in 1 minute (pair) is 18 and was achieved by Alejandro Marín and Angel Sánchez (Both Spain) on the set of “Guinness World Records – El Show de los records” in Madrid, Spain on 4 June 2006. In this record, participants broke the pinboards as they were performing a backwards flip against a wall, and breaking the pineboards as they were falling backwards without losing their balance.

Most powerful solar chimney

Enviromission’s (Australia) prototype solar chimney power station in Manzanares, Spain, produced 50 kW of electricity between 1982 and 1989. It consisted of a large area of greenhouses, in which air, heated by the Sun, expanded upwards through a 200 m-tall (656 ft) central tower, powering turbines as it escaped into the atmosphere.

The most Rubik’s Cubes solved underwater in one single breath is four and was achieved by David Calvo (Spain), on the set of ‘Guinness World Records’, Madrid, Spain, on 16 January 2009. David is not trained in Apnea, he is just very fast at solving Rubik’s cubes. He held his breath for around 1 min 30 sec during this attempt.

The most wine glasses held in one hand was 39 by Reymond Adina (Philippines) at the Quatre-Gats restaurant in Barcelona, Spain on 24 October 2007. The number of glasses held in the hand is a matter of pride for Barcelona waiters, and many are adept at carrying dozens of glasses without breaking them.

The oldest mother is Maria del Carmen Bousada Lara (Spain, b. 5 January 1940), who gave birth by caesarean section to twin boys, Christian and Pau, aged 66 years 358 days at the Sant Pau hospital, Barcelona, Spain on 29 December 2006. Maria received IVF treatment in America (by lying that her age was 55 years), after being rejected for treatment in Spain. She is unmarried.   Unfortunately, Maria passed away on Saturday 11 July 2009 after being diagnosed with cancer.

Oldest person to row across any ocean (female)

Suzanne Pinto (USA, b. 4 March 1953) was 57 years 333 days old when she helped row the £80,000 ($126,800) 14-man vessel Britannia III across the Atlantic east to west from Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands to Barbados in the West Indies in 42 days 17 hr 54 min between 31 January and 15 March 2011.
