The most people painting nails simultaneously is 1,156 and was achieved by members of the public at an event organised by Taiwan Nail Association at Banqiao Stadium, New Taipei City, Taiwan on 27 April 2011. The Taiwan Nail Association set this record as it was a new category.
The record for the most people Sufi whirling was achieved by 204 people at the event Group Spinning Performance for 60 minutes by one hundred cancer patients and volunteers set by the Taiwan Cancer Friends New Life Association in Taipei, Taiwan, on 11 November 2007.
The most rice eaten in three minutes is 134 grains and was achieved by Bob Blumer (Canada) at the Taipei Culinary Exhibition in Taipei, Taiwan, on 30 August 2010. The attempt was filmed for the TV series “Glutton for Punishment.”
The most soap bubbles successfully blown inside a larger soap bubble is 152, and was achieved by Kuo- Sheng Lin (Taiwan) at the World Trade Centre, Taipei City, Taiwan, on 23 December 2011. Kuo-Sheng is also known as Andy. He used bubble solution from Hold Entreprise Co. Ltd and the attempt took place at a bubble stage show during the Taipei toy show.
The oldest elephant ever was Lin Wang, an Asian elephant (Elephas maximus), who died on 26 February 2003 aged 86, at Taipei Zoo, Taiwan. Grandpa Lin, as he became known, carried supplies through the jungles of Myanmar (formerly Burma) for the Japanese army, during World War II. He was even taken prisoner by the Chinese in 1943. Lin Wang retired to the Zoo in 1954. The average age of an Asian elephant is 60 years.
The smallest humanoid robot in production is the BeRobot, which measures 153 mm (6 in) high and is able to walk, kick and perform push-ups. The robot was manufactured by GeStream (Taiwan) and demonstrated at the Global SMEs Convention on 6 September 2007 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
