Of the two double landlocked countries in the world, Uzbekistan is the largest, with a population of 27.8 million and an area of 447,400 km2. The largest image made from LED lights uses 1,012,840 lights and was created by Oltin yo’l GTL (Uzbekistan), in Shurtan, Uzbekistan, on 23 July 2012. A combination of Dura Light LEDs and free form ‘fairy light’ LEDs were used to form the image. The image depicts processes of gas to liquids production. The LED image is spread over an area of around 750,000 m ² and is displayed on the plot of land that a commercial factory will be built upon.
