The farthest distance travelled while bearing the 357 kg weight of Conan’s Wheel is 78 m and was achieved by Pascoau Philippe (France) on the set of L’Ete De Tous Les Records in Argeles-Gazost, France on 6 July 2005. Farthest distance carrying a 10 lb brick non-stop (male)

The longest recorded distance walked while carrying a 4.5 kg (10 lb) brick in a nominated ungloved hand in an uncradled downward position is 129.347 km (80.37 miles) achieved by Paddy Doyle (UK) on the Monarch’s Way footpath in Warwickshire, UK, on 21 May 2009. Paddy started the walk/speed march at 2.30 am and finished over 18 hours later that evening.

Farthest distance by hand-cranked cycle in 24 hours (male)

The greatest distance covered on a hand-cranked cycle in 24 hours is 649.85 km (403.80 miles) and was achieved by Thomas Lange (Germany) during the Bike Sebring 12/24 Hours, Sebring, Florida, USA from 14-15 February 2009. The greatest distance driven in one hour by a car with an internal combustion engine is 353.409 km (219.598 miles), by Helmut Henzler (Germany) and Keke Rosberg (Finland) in a prototype Volkswagen diesel-powered car on 18 October 1980 at the Nardo circuit in Italy. The farthest distance cycled underwater is 3.04 km (1.87 miles) achieved by Ashrita Furman (USA) at Complexo Olímpico de Piscinas de Coimbra in Coimbra, Portugal on 22 September 2011. Ashrita took 3 hours 35 minutes and 23 seconds to complete his attempt. He completed 66 laps of a 46 m course

Farthest distance flown in a balloon

The official FAI distance record for a manned balloon is 40,814 km (25,361 miles) set by Bertrand Piccard (Switzerland) and Brian Jones (UK), who piloted the Breitling Orbiter 3 from 1 to 21 March 1999. For comparison, the length of the Equator is 40,075 km. (24,902 miles). Piccard and Jones’ flight was also the first circumnavigation of the globe, after years of attempts, an indication of the difficulty of the feat.
