The official world water speed record is 275.97 knots (511.11 km./h, or 317.58 mph) by Ken Warby in the unlimited-class jet-powered hydroplane Spirit of Australia on Blowering Dam Lake, New South Wales, Australia, on 8 October 1978. However, it is estimated that Warby reached an estimated 300 knots (555 km/h., or 344.86 mph) unofficially at the same location on 20 November 1977.

The Fastest 0-60 mph (96.56 km/h) acceleration by an electric kart is 3.4 seconds. The kart was built by Linde Material Handling and driven by Andreas Wolf (Germany) at the Motorsport Arena, in Oschersleben, Germany, on 24 April 2011. The fastest time for a production car to travel from 0 – 300 km/h (0-186 mph) was 13.63 seconds, achieved by a Hennessey Venom GT. Fastest 0-100 km/h acceleration – electric car

The fastest 0-100 km/h acceleration by an electric car is 2.134 sec and was achieved by DUT Racing Team (Netherlands) at Valkenburg Airfield, Netherlands, on 20 Sep 2013. A four-wheel 144 bhp electric racecar was built by DUT Racing Team and only weighed 144 kg. Measurements were made using Kistler Correvit SFII P Non-Contact Optical speed sensor and RaceLogic VBOX VBSS100_V2 GPS speed sensor, with data logged using a Kvasor CAN memoriser.

The fastest toilet is the “Bog Standard”, a motorcycle and sidecar hidden under a bathroom set consisting of bathtub, sink, and laundry bin, which can travel to a speed of 68 kmh (42.25 mph) and was presented on the set of Lo Show Dei Record, in Milan, Italy, on 10 March 2011. The bike’s control are hidden in the sink.

Colin Furze (UK) has supercharged a mobility scooter so that it can reach a top speed of 115.21 km/h (71.59 mi/h). It took Colin three months to convert the scooter, which features five gears, a 125cc motorbike engine and twin exhausts.
