Highest railway station

The Tanggula Railway Station in Tibet is the highest in the world at 5,068 m (16,627 ft) above sea level. The unstaffed station on the Qingzang railway opened on 1 July 2006 and has a 1.25-km-long (0.77-mile) platform.

Highest production tank

The greatest production of any tank was that of the Soviet T-54/55 series, of which more than 50,000 were built between 1954 and 1980 in the former USSR alone. There was further production in the countries of the one-time Warsaw Pact in central and eastern Europe as well as in China.

The world’s highest ranking law-enforcement camel is Bert, who was accepted as Reserve Deputy Sheriff for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, San Dimas, USA, on 5 April 2003 and regularly goes on patrol with his handler Nance Fite (USA). Highest rainfall annually

By average annual rainfall, the wettest place is Mawsynram, Meghalaya, India, with 11,873 mm (467 in) of rain per annum. Meghalaya means ‘land of the clouds’. Most of the rain occurs during the monsoon season, between June and September. The second rainiest place is Cherrapunji, also in Meghalaya, with an average annual rainfall of 11,430 mm (450 in) per year, which can actually suffer drought outside the monsoon season.

Highest rate of obesity (country)

The most obese country is the South Pacific island nation of Nauru (population 13,287) which has more obese people, per capita, than any other country, with an incredible 80.2% of men and 78.6% of women totalling a body mass index greater than 30.
