The highest standing jump onto a platform was 1.48 m (4 ft 10.27 in) by Jonas Huusom (Denmark) at Gerlev Sports Academy in Slagelse, Denmark, on 27 August 2011. From a still, standing position, Huusom leaped to the top of 37 firm judo mats stacked one upon the other.
The record for the highest somersault inline skate jump into water is 3.7 m (12.13 ft) and was set by Luc Bourdin (France) on the set of L’Été De Tous Les Records in Biscarrosse, France on 1 July 2004. There was a 10 m run-up and take off was from a 1 metre quarterpipe ramp. Height was measured from the lip of the ramp to the elastic line which he had to completely clear.
The highest sword throw was 21.275 m (69 ft 9 in) and was achieved by Hazza Sulaiman Al Shehhi at Fujairah Fort, as part of the Fujairah Crown Prince Award and Al Saif traditional sword competition at Fujairah Fort, Fujairah, UAE, on 26 November 2010. The highest average speed by a train over a distance of 1,000 km (621 miles) is 306.37 km/h (190.37 mph), by a French SNCF TGV train between Calais and Marseille on 26 May 2001. The train, which was unmodified and therefore identical to Eurostar trains, covered the 1,067 km (663 miles) between the cities in 3 hours 29 minutes, reaching a maximum speed of 366 km/h (227 mph). Scott Hammell (Canada), escaped from a regulation straitjacket, whilst suspended by a rope hanging upside down below the basket of a hot air balloon travelling at a height of 2,194.5 m (7,200 ft) over Knoxville, Tennessee, USA, on 13 August 2003. The rope from which he was tied to hung 15.24 m (50ft) from the basket.

The highest score recorded by one team in the annual ArenaBowl game was tied by the Chicago Rush (USA) at ArenaBowl XX when they defeated the Orlando Predators 69-61. The record of 69 pts was tied again in 2010 when the Spokane Shock (USA) defeated the Tampa Bay Storm 69-57 to win ArenaBowl XXIII.
The record for the highest tandem bungee jump is 233 m (764 ft 5 in) and was achieved by Yoshio Goto (Japan) and AJ Hackett (New Zealand) at the Macau Tower, Macau, China, on 25 August 2007. The bungee cord stretched a total of 213 m (698 ft), leaving 20 m (65 ft) between them and the ground.
