Largest ballet class – barres

The largest ballet class barres involved 1,525 ballet dancers and was achieved by Queensland Ballet (Australia) at the State Library of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia, on 22 May 2011. The record attempt was held in association with The Ideas Festival 2011 (Australia). The barres class lasted for 38 minutes and 54 seconds in total. Largest ball of human hair

Henry Coffer (USA) has collected hair into a giant hair ball which weighs 167 lbs (75.7 kg ) is 4 ft (1.2 metres) high and has a 14 ft (4.26 metre) circumference as of 08 December 2008. Henry Coffer, a 77 year old barber from Charleston Mo., began saving hair at the request of a customer. Over the 50 plus years he has been collecting,he has found many uses for his hair clippings, patching potholes, gardening, soil fertilizer and such.

Largest bandaid /plaster

The world’s largest plaster is a scaled-up version of the Hansaplast Universal strip, which measured 360 cm (141 in) long and 95 cm (37 in) wide on 6 June 2004. It was created by David Martínez Fernández, Juan Luceño Montero and Eduardo Torello Rivera (all Spain) of Beiersdorf, S.A. in Barcelona, Spain. The largest bamboo dance (Cheraw) was achieved by 10,736 dancers during an event organised by the Government of Mizoram, in Aizawl, Mizoram, India, on 12 March 2010. Mizoram’ literally means land of the Mizo people. Mizoram is one of the Seven Sister States in North Eastern India. It shares land borders with the states of Tripura, Assam, Manipur and with the neighbouring countries of Bangladesh and the Chin State of Myanmar. The record for the largest banner is 54,451 m² (586,103.34 ft²) and was achieved by Grace Galindez-Gupana President of HalleluYAH Prophetic Global Foundation Philippines in Bar Yeuda, Massada, Israel on 23 December 2007. The record attempt was organized by Sar-El Tours.

The largest bar of soap measured 4.1 m × 2.5 m × 1.4 m (13.4 ft × 8.2 ft × 4.5 ft) and weighed 12.5 tons (27,557 lb). It was made by Unilever South Africa Home & Personal Care at their factory in Durban, South Africa and completed on 12 August 2005. The soap is a replica of Unilever’s Vaseline bath bar.

Largest bar of gold

The largest manufactured pure gold bar weighs 250 kg (551 lb 2 oz) and was made by the Mitsubishi Materials Corporation on 11 June 2005 at the Naoshima Smelter & Refinery, Kagawa Prefecture, Japan. FYI – unrelated article from The Guardian (9 Dec 2005) attached with interesting facts about gold.
