Largest bird ever

The largest bird that ever lived is the elephant bird or vouron patra (Aepyornis maximus) which became extinct about 1,000 years ago (although sightings were reported as late as 1658). The largest bird nest box is 1.5 m (4 ft 11 in) in width and length and 2.72 m (8 ft 11 in) in height, and was achieved by Diane Martens (Germany), when measured outside Martens Spezialmixshop, Brettorf, Germany, on 15 May 2014.

Largest biscuit / cookie

The largest biscuit measured 754 m² (8,120 ft²) and was made by the Immaculate Baking Company (USA) in Flat Rock, North Carolina, USA on 17 May 2003. The chocolate chip cookie weighed 18 tonnes (40,000 lb) and had a diameter of 30.7 m (101 ft).

The largest bird’s nest was built by a pair of bald eagles (Haliaeetus leucocephalus), and possibly their successors, near St Petersburg, Florida, USA and measured 2.9 m (9 ft 6 in) wide and 6 m (20 ft) deep. Largest bladder stone

A bladder stone weighing 1.9 kg (4 lb 2.88 oz) and measuring 17.9 cm (7 in) long, 12.7 cm (5 in) thick and 9.55 (3.7 in) tall, was removed from José de Castro da Silva (aged 62) at the Instituto do Câncer “Arnaldo Vieira de Carvalho”, São Paulo City, Brazil on 25 August 2003.

Largest black opal

The largest black opal weighs 11,340.95 carats (2,268.19 grams; 80 oz) and measures 2,450 x 1,460 x 527 mm (96.45 x 57.48 x 20.74 in). It is owned by Dallas, Judith, Shannon, Jeffery and Ken Westbrook (all Australia). The black opal was found in Lightning Ridge, New South Wales, Australia.

Largest Black Forest gateau

The largest Black Forest gateau weighed 2,963 kg (6,532 lb) and was made by the patissier Hans-Dieter Busch of the K & U Bakery (K & U Bäckerei GmbH) and displayed at the ice skating arena of Europa-Park, in Rust, Germany, on 16 July 2006.
