The largest blender in the world, built in five days by Wink Eller, Greg Scott Abbott, Lisa Legohn, Christoff Koon, Eric Scarlett and Frank Payne (all USA) in Santa Clarita, California, USA, measures 4.79 m (16 ft 4 in) tall, 2.43 (8 ft) wide, 3.04 m (10 ft) deep and was unveiled on 6 July 2004 on Discovery Channel’s ‘BIG!’ television show. Largest board game tournament

The largest board game tournament consisted of 43,157 participants playing chess and was achieved by the Cebu City Sports Commission (Philippines) in Cebu, Philippines, on 22 January 2012. The record attempt started on 13 July 2012 when 750 school teachers were trained in playing chess who then went on to teach school children. From October to December 2011 classroom tournaments were held, followed by school tournaments. Largest boat tie-up

The largest boat tie-up consisted of 1,651 boats and was organized by the Lake Cumberland Association (USA) on Lake Cumberland, Kentucky, USA, on 14 August 2010. Eligible boats included any motorized boat, aquabike/jetski, canoe/kayak and rigid inflatable boat tied together in a single, continuous structure. Nine marinas along the lake combined to register participants in the “raft-up” event, which saw boats tied together beginning at 10 a.m. and lasting until 6 p.m.

Largest boat lift

The Strepy-Thieu boat lift in Belgium has a vertical travel of 73.15 m (240 ft) and can lift barges weighing up to 1,350 tonnes. The structure, which opened in November 2001, has a total height of 117 m (384 ft) and forms part of the Canal de Centre, a man-made waterway that links the rivers Meuse and Scheldt. (note: there are other boat lifts with a similar capacity, but none with the same travel distance)

Largest board game, Monopoly

The largest Monopoly board game measured 216.97 m2 (2,335.5 ft2) and was created by q.media events during the Doha Trade Fair 2011 at Doha Exhibition Centre, in Doha, Qatar, on 4 June 2011. The board measured 14.74 m x 14.74 m (48 ft 4 in x 48 ft 4 in). The monopoly board was made from Acrylic sheets and was an exact replica of the British version monopoly.

Largest body percussion ensemble

The largest body percussion ensemble was achieved by 7,089 participants during an event organised by the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (Hong Kong) at the Hong Kong Coliseum, Hong Kong, on 2 July 2012. The record attempt took place at a special event organised to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government.
