The attempt was organized by Sally Marsh, who has hosted a weekly summer hootenanny in Allegany State Park since 1971.
The largest game of musical statues was achieved by 1,079 participants in an event organised by Danone Finland at Helsinki Exhibition center, Helsinki, Finland, on 25 April 2010. The attempt took place during the annual Child Fair in Helsinki.
