The largest lamington weighed 2,361 kg (5205 lb) and was made by Quality Desserts and the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce at Newtown Rugby Club, Toowoomba, Australia, on 11 June 2011. The colossal confectionery beat the previous record holder by a nail-biting 1kg (2.2 lbs)!
On 15 January 1965 the Soviet Union detonated a 140 kiloton nuclear device underneath a dry bed of the Chagan River, Kazakhstan. Part of the Soviets´ Nuclear Explosions for the National Economy programme, the raised rim of the resulting crater dammed the river allowing the creation of a reservoir. It is now known as Lake Chagan and has a volume of around 100,000 m³ (3,531,000 ft³).
The world’s largest kugel by both diameter and weight is entitled Mary Morton Parsons Earth-Moon Sculpture and was unveiled 8 January 2003 at the Science Museum of Virginia, Richmond, USA. The earth globe is a single piece of South African black granite polished into a sphere that is 2.653 m (8 ft 8 in) in diameter. A kugel (from the German word for ball) is a perfectly balanced, polished stone sphere that fits into a socket (base) carved to the exact curvature of the ball.

The largest limbo dance involved 1,208 children from Global EduHub Pte Ltd (Singapore) in ITE College West, Singapore, on 1 October 2011. The height for the bar for adults was set at 1 m and for the children is was 0.8 m. One bar was used which was adjusted to make it more fun for the children and adults taking part.
The largest life-sized house made from interlocking plastic bricks is 4.69 metres (15 ft 4 in) high, 9.39 metres (30 ft 9 in) long and 5.75 metres (18 ft 10 in) wide and consists of two floors with four rooms in total. The world´s largest fine for an overdue library book is $345.14 (£203.29), the amount owed at two cents a day for the poetry book Days and Deeds checked out of Kewanee Public Library, Illinois, USA in April 1955 by Emily Canellos-Simms. Although the book was due back 19 April 1955, Emily found it in her mother´s house 47 years later and presented the library with a check for overdue fines.
The largest lezim dance consisted of 7338 participants and was achieved by Sangli Shikshan Sanstha (India) in Sangli, Maharashtra, India on 26 January 2014. This attempt took place as a part of centenary year celebrations of the Sangli Shikshan Sanstha, an educational institute. A total 3066 girls and 4272 boys from 19 different schools situated across 14 towns and 5 villages participated. Attempt took place on the 65th Republic Day of India.
The largest lenticular hologram measures 78 m (255 ft 10 in) long and 2 m (6 ft 6 in) wide and was created by 3DContact (Russia). It was completed and presented in Moscow, Russia, on 2 November 2012. This hologram was installed on the floor of Media Markt in a Moscow shopping centre. The largest refracting optical lens in the world measures 1.827m (5.99ft) in diameter. It was constructed by a team led by Thomas Peck (USA), at the Optics Shop of the Optical Sciences Center of the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, USA, and completed in January 2000. It was built as a test for the secondary mirror of the 6.5m (21.3ft) MMT Telescope on Mt Hopkins, Arizona, USA. The lens is made from fused quartz and weighs roughly 1000lb (450kg)
