Claria Corporation, formerly known as Gator Corporation, operated from 1998 to 2008, when it was closed down completely. During that period it offered ‘free’ software to World Wide Web users which also installed Gator’s/Claria’s client software. This spyware monitored the web activity of up to 40 million users, and then used this data to send strategically chosen advertisements to their PCs.
The largest spring steel mosaic consists of two million pieces. It is a recreation of the Bayeux Tapestry, which depicts the Battle of Hastings in 1066. Each piece measures 7 mm² (0.01 in²), and are offcuts from a patterning disk used on an industrial knitting machine. The mosaic took 25 years to complete from 1979 to 2004. The largest spray painted picture measured 760.28 m² (8183.58 ft²) and was made for Coca-Cola Ýçecek by 580 students from nine universities around Turkey. It was completed at Hezarfen Airport, Istanbul, Turkey on 16 August 2004. The painting was made for the Rock’n’Coke Festival which took place on 21– 22 August 2004 and was named ‘There is life on the streets’.

The largest steel plate measures 10.06 m x 2.03 m (33 ft x 6ft 7 in) and was measured in Liwa, UAE, on 31 July 2008. Rob Molloy adjudicated.The plate was created by the organizers of the 4th Liwa Festival and was filled with 2,000 Kgs of dates.
The largest steel drum ensemble consisted of 286 participants, who played the composition ‘Orange’ by Zbigniew Lowzyl (Poland) for five minutes in Mikolajki, Poland, on 21 September 2007
The American Queen, a luxurious traditional steamboat (paddle-wheeled riverboat) launched in 1995, is 127.4 m (418 ft) long and has a displacement of 4,891 tonnes (10.78 million lb). Built at a cost of $65 million (£41 million at 1995 rates) by the Delta Queen Steamboat Company, it has six passenger decks and place for around 450 passengers. The world’s largest statue of the Virgin Mary with Jesus measures 14 m (46 ft) high and stands on a base 17 m (55 ft 9 in) tall. It was unveiled on 8 September 2003 and stands overlooking the city of Haskovo, Bulgaria.

The largest star taaffeite weighs 5.36 carats (1.072 grams; 0.037 oz) and measures 11.46 x 8.65 x 7.02 mm (0.45 x 0.34 x 0.27 in). It is owned by Miho Ozawa (Japan). Taaffeite is a pink/purple rare gem mineral and the star taaffeite variety is know as one of the rarest gemstones.
