The largest tiramisu weighed 1,285 kg (2,832 lb) and was prepared by the Shopping Centre Piazzagrande (Italy), in Piove di Sacco, Italy, on 29 June 2014. The tiramisu was 13.98 m (45 ft 10 in) long and 2.72 m (8 ft 11 in) wide and it was made to celebrate the shopping centre 20th anniversary.
The largest tin whistle ensemble was achieved by 1,015 participants at an event organised by Scoil Acla (Ireland) in Keel, Achill Island, Ireland, on 31 July 2010. Participants performed the song “The Dawning of the Day.”
The Floating Instrument Platform, or FLIP, is a 108 m (355 ft) long oceanic research barge that is able to float ‘upright’ with 17 m (55 ft) of its length above the ocean surface and 91 m (300 ft) below. Supercells are powerful thunderstorms which form around a mesocyclone, a deep, rotating updraft. At up to several kilometres across, they can last several hours, making them the longest-lasting and largest of all thunderstorms. They often occur on the Great Plains of the USA and can spawn tornadoes.
The largest thriller dance is achieved by 13,597 participants in an event organised by the Instituto de la Juventud del Gobierno del Distrito Federal at the Monumento a la Revolucion, Mexico City, Mexico, on 29 Aug 2009. Log books were used for the counting.
The largest three-legged race is 649 pairs and was achieved by The Isle of Man in Douglas, Isle of Man, on 6 May 2013. The national emblem of the Isle of Man is the Triskelion of three legs. The attempt was organised by Douglas Development Partnership and Barclays Bank.
The largest toothpick sculpture is an alligator named Alley, made by Michael Smith (USA), which contained over 3 million toothpicks, was 4.5 m (15 ft) long, and weighed 132.4 kg (292 lb) when measured at Galvez Middle School, Prairieville, Louisiana, USA on 22 March 2005.
The largest toothpick mosaic was 40.521 square metres (436.16 square ft) and was created by the students of Tsugeno High School (Japan). It was finished and presented in Aichi, Shinshiro City, Japan, on 5 October 2008. All 229 Students of the school participated in creating the mosaic, they used a total of 1,620,840 toothpicks in seven different colours.
The largest tonsils are those of Justin Werner (USA), which measured 5.1 cm (2.1 in) long, 2.8 cm (1.1 in) wide and 2.0 cm (0.7 in) thick, and the other being 4.7 (1.9 in) long, 2.6 cm (1 in) wide and 2.0 cm (0.7 in) thick. They were surgically removed at Excellent Surgery Center in Topeka, Kansas, USA, on 18 January 2011.
The largest raffle drum measures 2.89 m (9 ft 6 in) tall and 3.65 m (12 ft) wide and is made of plexiglass with a steel frame. The drum was made by the Calgary Exhibition and Stampede, Calgary, Alberta, Canada and measured on 25 May 2006.
