Largest women’s marathon

The largest women’s marathon was the Nagoya Women’s Marathon 2012, which had 13,114 participants and was held in Nagoya, Aichi, Japan, on 11 March 2012. The Nagoya Women’s marathon 2012 was a qualifying race for the London Olympic, and its participants were solely women. Top three runners’ names and times, respectively, are Albina Mayorova (Russia) 2:23:52, Yoshimi Ozaki (Japan) 2:24:14, and Remi Nakazato (Japan) 2:24:28.

Largest wolf pack

In the winter of 2010-11, a “super pack” of wolves numbering up to 400 reportedly terrorized the Russian town of Verkhoyansk (population 1,300) in northern region of Yakutia, one of the remotest inhabited areas in the northern hemisphere. More than 30 horses were killed in just four days, according to local officials, and teams of hunters were established to patrol neighbourhoods and shoot the wolves on sight. The largest Wobble Board Ensemble was achieved by 1,207 participants from Harristown State High School who played to ‘Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport’ in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia, on 22 August 2008. They played for over 6 minutes.

Largest wooden coat hanger

The largest wooden coat hanger measures 6.096 m (19 ft 12 in) long, 4.067 m (13 ft 4 in) high and 52 cm (1 ft 8 in) wide. It was created by MAWA GmbH (Germany) and presented in Frankfurt, Germany, on 12 February 2011. The hanger weighs approximately 1 ton.

Largest wreath

The largest wreath measured 100.85 m (330 ft 10 in) in diameter and was created by TD Presmec Dolge Njive (Slovenia), in Volicina, Slovenia, on 1 December 2013. The wreath was made of pine, cypress and grape vine, among other components. It was then decorated with electric lights and hand-made Christmas cards from local school children. In total, the wreath’s circumference was 316.82 m (1039 ft 5 in) and weighed approximately 13.5 tonnes!
