Longest salami

The longest salami is 1,152 m 16 cm (3,780 ft 0.54 in) and was made by Cock’s Vleeswaren NV (Belgium) in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium, on 23 April 2010. The total salami weight after cooking and drying was 2,171.37 kg (4,787.05 lbs). The company used five 150 kg (330.69 lbs) containers of turkey and pork, and five 150 kg (330.69 lbs) containers of bacon to produce the record-breaking salami.

The longest time to continuously present a talk show programme on broadcast TV is 62 hr 12 min and was hosted by Rabi Lamichhane (Nepal) on News 24 TV in Kathmandu, Nepal, from 11 to 14 April 2013. Rabi Lamichhane talked to politicians, actors, singers, sports personalities, entrepreneurs and journalists during his marathon talk show on the theme “Buddha was born in Nepal”, and also took phone calls from viewers. The attempt was supported by Welcome Event Management.

Thirty pupils from the Laerskool Laeveld school in Nelspruit, South Africa, pushed an unpowered soapbox cart a distance of 2,061 km (1,280 miles ) between Komatipoort and Cape Town, South Africa, from 17 September to 6 October 2001, in the NICRO Race Against Crime and Time. NICRO is an anti-crime initiative

The longest tandem ATV side-wheelie measures 26.07 km (16.2 miles) and was completed by Yannick Dupont and Dalila Ouadah (both France) at the Cité de l’Automobile track in Mulhouse, France, on 21 April 2014. An Arctic Cat 300 DVX ATV was used for the attempt.

The longest species of worm of any kind is the bootlace worm (Lineus longissimus), a species of nemertean or ribbon worm, inhabiting shallow waters of the North Sea. In 1864, following a severe storm at St Andrews in Fife, UK, a record-breaking specimen was washed ashore, and was found to measure over 55 m (180 ft) long.
