The longest game of human table football was one of 24 hours, played at Foz do Arelho Beach, Caldas de Rainha, Portugal on 12 August 2004. Guidelines need to be changed as they used 730 players in 73 teams – not along sports marathon guidelines.
On 6 November 2001, Fergus Muir (UK) successfully sank a putt measuring 125 y (114.3 m) on the Eden Course at St Andrews Links, Scotland, UK. The shot was made using hickory shafted putter directly from the tee on the 5th hole.
The longest graffiti scroll measures 1,981 m (6,499 ft 4 in) and was completed by Cencosud in Bariloche, Argentina on 30 September 2013. This was the first ever record successfully attempted and achieved in Bariloche which is located in the Patagonia region of Argentina.
The longest goza mat measures 537.27 m (1,762 ft 8 in) and was manufactured by Yashiro Green Project (Japan). It was displayed and measured at Honmachi-shotengai Arcade in Yatsushiro, Kumamoto, Japan, on 12 March 2011. A goza mat is a Japanese style floor mat made form woven rushes.
The longest gourd measured 4.55 m (14 ft 11 in) when it was measured at the Beidaihe Jifa Agriculture Sightseeing Garden in Qinhuangdao, China, on 10 October 2008. It was a luffa gourd (Luffa cylindrica).
The longest golf shot hit whilst seated was 143.702 m (471 ft 5 in) by Dave Sawtell (Australia) on the Gold Creek Country Club’s 18th hole in Nicholls, ACT, Australia, on 26 February 2011. Sawtell, born with spina bifida, made his attempt from his wheelchair onto an uphill course. The event took place in between rounds of the opening event of the World Longdrive Championships Australia.
The world’s longest documented hair belongs to Xie Qiuping (China) at 5.627 m (18 ft 5.54 in) when measured on 8 May 2004. She has been growing her hair since 1973 from the age of 13.
The longest Guitar Hero World Tour marathon lasted for 24 hr 2 min and was achieved by Simo Piispanen (guitar), Aku Valmu (bass), Jaakko Kokkonen (singer) and Simo-Matti Liimatainen (drums) at Assembly Winter 2009, in Tampere, Finland, on 21 February 2009. The record for the highest score on a song was also achieved during this marathon.
The longest group drum roll is 64 hr 27 min 59 sec and was achieved by the Corps of Drums of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines Band Service (UK) at the Tower of London, London, UK, on 3 May 2014. Forty members of the Corps of Drums of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines Band Service took it in turns to drum on the same single snare drum. The longest grommet sling measures 110 m (360.8 ft) long, with a diameter of 192 mm (7.55 in). It was constructed in June 2003 by Franklin Offshore International Pte Ltd (Singapore) and has a calculated grommet breaking load of 3,070 tonnes.
