The coldest permanently inhabited place is the Siberian village of Oymyakon (pop. 4000), 63°16’N, 143°15’E (700 m 2,300ft), in Russia, where the temperature reached -68°C (-90°F) in 1933 (the coldest ever recorded outside Antarctica).

Lowest Speedgolf score (male)

The lowest Speedgolf score is 109.06 and was achieved by Christopher Smith (US) at the 2005 Chicago Speedgolf Classic, in Chicago, United States, on 16 October 2005. Speed golf is also known as Hit and Run golf or Extreme golf. The score is calculated by adding the standard golf score to the time taken to complete the course. In this case the golf score was 65 and the time was 44 min 06 sec.

Lowest single-round score in a professional golf tour tournament

The lowest score for a single round in a major professional golf tournament is 58 by Ryo Ishikawa (Japan) at The Crowns of the Japan Golf Tour in Togo, Japan, on 2 May 2010. Ishikawa, 18 years old at the time of his record round, shot 12 birdies with no bogeys on the 6,545-yard Nagoya Golf Club course. The Japan Golf Tour is one of the 11 major men’s golf tours recognised by the International Federation of PGA Tours.

Lowest score under par in a professional golf tour tournament

The lowest score to par after 72 holes in a major golf tournament is – 32 (32 under par) and was achieved by Chapchai Nirat (Thailand) at the 2009 SAIL Open at the Classic Golf Resort, Gurgaon, India, on 21 March 2009. The SAIL Open is part of the Asian Tour which is one of the six full members of the International Federation of PGA Tours. This defines the tournament as a “major” tournament.

The lowest score in an 18 hole short golf course is 54 (16 under par 70), achieved by Christian Carpenter (USA) on his home course, Henry River Golf Club, which measured 5,443 m (5,952.53 yd), scoring 4, 3, 3, 2, 3, 1, 4, 2, 4=26 out, and 4, 3, 3, 2, 3, 2, 4, 4, 3=28 in, on 7 October 2007.
