The greatest number of twists and somersaults achieved in a freestyle jump was set by Matt Chojnacki (USA) who completed a quadruple-twisting quadruple back flip at Winter Park Resort, Colorado, USA on 4 April 2001.
The female equivalent of the Ryder Cup is contested biennially between the top professional players of Europe and the USA and was first held in 1990. The USA has won eight times, 1990, 1994, 1996, 1998, 2002, 2005, 2007 and 2009 with Europe winning in 1992, 2000 and 2003.
The most socks worn on one foot was 152 and was achieved by Fiona Nolan (Ireland) at Enterasys Networks in Shannon, Co. Clare, Ireland, on 25 March 2011. Fiona attempted the record in support of the Irish Cancer Society’s Daffodil Day Campaign 2011. The record attempt was one of several initiatives by her employer, Enterasys Networks (Ireland), to raise money for the chairty.
The most socks sorted in one minute was 19 pairs, and was achieved by Joanne Wright (USA) at the offices of Dunnhumby USA in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, on 8 April 2011. The socks used were all different pairs and were adult-sized socks. The attempt took place during a GWR Live event for Dunnhumby employees in Cincinnati, London, Paris and Delhi.
The most socks sorted and hung in one minute is 19 pairs and was achieved by Melanie Truby and Kimberley Brewer (both UK) at Butlins, Bognor Regis, UK on 14 August 2011. GWR Live! at Butlins.

The most soap bubbles successfully blown inside a larger soap bubble is 152, and was achieved by Kuo- Sheng Lin (Taiwan) at the World Trade Centre, Taipei City, Taiwan, on 23 December 2011. Kuo-Sheng is also known as Andy. He used bubble solution from Hold Entreprise Co. Ltd and the attempt took place at a bubble stage show during the Taipei toy show.
The most southerly swim was at latitude -70º and was achieved by Ram Barkai (South Africa), in Queen Maud Land, Antarctica, on 7 February 2008. Ram swam 1 km in water temperature of 1ºc which took 22 min 5 sec. The exact co-ordinate of the start point of the swim is latitude -70º 45.44 and longitude -11º 39.04
Few Antarctic birds nest inland (i.e. upon this continent’s ice-sealed interior) to any great extent. However, the snow petrel (Pagodroma nivea) is known to nest up to 240 km (150 miles) inland, among rocky peaks poking up through the ice.
In June 2010, a new computer software “worm” called Stuxnet, described as the most sophisticated cyber weapon ever made, was publicly identified by a security company in Belarus. A German industrial company subsequently confirmed that a number of its control systems technologies that are used in the power industry and which control valves, pipelines and other industrial equipment in different facilities around the world had been affected by the worm.
