The oldest fossilised penis discovered to date dates back around 100 million years. It belongs to a crustacean called an ostracod, discovered in Brazil and measuring just 1mm across. The discovery was announced in September 2002 at the British Association for the Advancement of Science Festival in Leicester, UK.

The world’s oldest person to begin primary school was aged 84. Kimani Ng’ang’a Maruge (Kenya) enrolled into Standard One at Kapkenduiyo Primary School, Eldoret, Kenya, on 12 January 2004. He even wore the school uniform and hoped to reach Standard Eight. On 6 April 2004 it was reported that Ng’ang’a passed his first end-of-term exams with straight A’s in English, Kiswahili and math, making him among the top five students in the class. The longest surviving soldier on record is Antonio Todde (Italy) who served during World War I. Born 22 January 1889, he died on 4 January 2002 aged 112 years 346 days, surpassing the previous record held by John B. Salling of the US Confederate Army by 41 days.
The oldest person to abseil is Doris Cicely Long MBE (UK, b. 18 May 1914). She completed a descent of 197 ft (60.04 m) from the top of Millgate House, Portsmouth, UK, on 21 May 2011. She was 97 years and 3 days old. This was Doris’ 18th abseil, in aid of raising money for The Rowans Hospice. Doris insits on wearing a white helmet, as this is the colour she has always chosen for all her stunts.
The oldest person to be baptised is Clarence Raymond Kannheiser (USA), who was christened on 11 April 2009 aged 97 years 53 days at St. Patrick Church, Rochelle, Illinois, USA. Clarence was born on 17 Febuary 1912. Clarence was baptised by Father David A. Peck. He also received his first Communion and Confirmation at the same service.
The oldest person to receive an honorary degree is Harry Patch (b. 17 June 1898, UK) who, at the age of 107 years 182 days was awarded an Honorary Master of Arts degree by the University of Bristol, Somerset, UK on 16 December 2005.
