The most nationalities in a swimming pool is 82 and was achieved by Les Roches International School of Hotel Management (Switzerland), in Bluche, Switzerland, on 8 September 2012. All the participants were students at Les Roches International School of Hotel Management. They provided their passports as proof of their nationality.

The smallest newspaper is an edition of the newspaper Terra Nostra (Portugal) which measures 18.27 x 25.35 mm (0.72 x 0.99 in) and was achieved by Nova Gráfica (Portugal) in Ponta Delgada, São Miguel, Azores, Portugal on 16 February 2012. The newspaper was measured on 16 February and was published on 20 February 2012. The small newspaper is the exact copy of the normal edition and 3,000 copies went on sale. The small newspaper weighed 1 g (0.04 oz)

Most points scored in an NHL career

The most points scored in an NHL career is 2,857 by Wayne Gretzky (Canada) for the Edmonton Oilers, Los Angeles Kings, St Louis Blues and New York Rangers between 1979 and 1999.  The points total comprise 894 goals and 1,963 assists achieved in 1,487 games. In his whole profesional hockey career, Gretzky scored a record 1,072 goals. In addition to his 894 NHL regular season goals and 122 Stanley Cup goals, he scored 56 in the World Hockey Association (WHA), 1978-79.

The JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai, UAE, formerly known as Emirates Park Towers Hotel & Spa, is the tallest hotel, standing at 355.35 m (1,165.84 ft) from ground level to the top of its mast. The hotel consists of two 77-floor twin towers, with the first tower opened on 11 November 2012. Both towers are entirely occupied by the hotel. The longest hug lasted 24 hr 33 min and was achieved by Ron O’Neil and Theresa Kerr (both Canada) at Centennail Beach in Barrie, Ontario, Canada, from 12 to 13 June 2010. The attempt was a fundraising effort for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Largest gingerbread house

The largest gingerbread house had an internal volume of 1,110.1 m³ (39,201.8 ft³) and was created by Traditions Club (USA) at Traditions Club, Bryan, Texas, USA on 30 November 2013. The house was 18.28 m (60 ft) long, 12.8 m (42 ft) wide and 18.28 m (10.1 ft) tall at its highest point. Visitors to the house were able to meet Santa Claus, in exchange for a donation to St Joseph’s Hospital in order to raise monies to build a new trauma center.
