The fastest 100 x 5 km relay was completed in 30 hr 1 min 15.3 sec by the Greenville Track Club (USA), at Eastside High School in Greenville, South Carolina USA, from 21 to 22 May 2011.

A USATF certified official was present during the attempt and verified the validity of the baton passes.
