The largest ball pit has a surface area of 315.6 m² (3397.1 ft²) with an average depth of 1.3 m (4 ft 3 in), containing 1,000,000 balls and was achieved by Kerry Hotel Pudong Shanghai (China), in Shanghai, China on 30 October 2013.

The event was to a part of a series of Cancer Awareness Month events at the hotel and was attended by over 300 cancer patients. Pink balls were used in the pool to match the Cancer Awareness Month theme.
