Largest bottle cap pyramid

The largest bottle cap pyramid was made of 308,945 caps and built by 12 schoolchildren at the Krasnystaw Cultural Centre in Krasnystaw, Poland, finishing on September 9, 2000.

The pyramid consisted of 97 concentric layers of bottle caps; in the first layer there are 97 x 97 caps, totalling 9409 caps. Succeeding layers have one less cap per side. The 12 teenagers worked in shifts for eight days, 21 hours and 48 minutes. Bottle caps from sponsor Zywiec Beer were used.
