The record for the largest collection of owls consists of 18,055 items and is owned by Dianne Turner, Wilton, Maine, USA.

Dianne Turner completed her owl collection in 2002 at the age of 55. She made her own ceramics and was still firing owls in her kiln after she went blind from diabetes. The owls were painted one colour because she could not see. Dianne was known as “The Owl Lady”. She passed away in January 2003 and her family and friends applied for the record as a tribute to her memory.
