Largest crayon

The largest crayon weighed 274.65 kg (605.5 lb), stood 2.95 m (9 ft 8 in) tall, and was created by the organization Keep Liberty Beautiful (USA). It was unveiled in Hinesville, Georgia, USA, on 19 November 2008.

The crayon consisted of 119,646.9 normal-size crayons which were melted at 60C (140F) and then poured into a plastic pipe with a 124.5 cm (49 in) circumference and 38.1 cm (15 in) diameter. The inside of the pipe was coated with cooking spray to prevent damage to the crayon during the extraction, which was performed after the melted crayons cooled and hardened. Danny Girton Jr. adjudicated.
