Largest cup of tea

The largest cup of tea is 4000 litres (7039.01 pt) in volume and was produced by GlaxoSmithKline Beecham (Private) Ltd (Sri Lanka) for Viva, at Burgher Recreation Club grounds in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on 9 October 2010.

The tea cup was named the “VIVA” tea cup. The tea cup itself measured 10 ft in height and 8 ft in width.

Six 2000 watt heaters and a stirrer powered by motors and generators maintained the temperature of the tea at 75 degrees celsius.
