Largest fattoush

The largest Fattoush weighs 4,432.52 kg (9,772.03 lb) and was achieved by the Municipality of Kab Elias (Lebanon), in the city of Kab Elias, Lebanon, on 1 August 2010.

The Municipality of Kab Elias and around 200 people of the city came together to create the largest Fattoush in order to promote the fact that Kab Elias is home to the largest fresh fruit and vegetable market in the middle east. The attempt took place in the local public school in Kab Elias and started at 3pm and finished at 8.30pm, although the total preparatory and cooking time was 15 hours. The individual ingredients included purslane 86 kg (189.6 lb), tomato 1, 500 kg (3, 306.93 lb), radish 105 kg (231.49 lb), onion 105 kg (231.49), mint 42 kg (92.6 lb), cucumber 1, 050 kg (2, 314.9 lb), lettuce 315 kg (694.5 lb), sumac 126 kg (277.8 lb), salt 30 kg (66 lb), olive oil 210 kg (463 lb), lemon juice 336 kg (740.8 lb) and pitta bread 336 kg (740.8 lb).
