Largest fish market

The world’s largest fish market is Tsukiji, part of the Tokyo Central market, Tokyo, Japan which imports over 450 varieties of marine products from 60 different countries, and handled 615,409 tons of produce in 2003.

The amount of marine produce sold in 2003 equated to ¥498 billion (£2.61 billion) ($4.6 billion).
