The largest gathering of people dressed as bees was achieved by 2,176 participants from The Yateley and Westfield schools campus, in Hampshire, UK, on 6 April 2011.

Objectives of the record attempt were:
– To raise money for environmental projects around the school
– To raise money for the Bumblebee Conservation Trust
– To raise awareness about the plight of bees
– To support older students in their Citizenship education and qualification
