In a real-life mirroring of the animated movie Up (USA, 2009), the National Geographic Channel (USA) floated a house weighing 1,966.3 kg (4,335
lb) ­ including the 4.8 x 4.8 x 5.5 m (16 x 16 x 18 ft) frame plus the ballast, rigging and pilot ­ to a height of (10,000 ft) over Los Angeles, California, USA, using a cluster of 300 helium-filled balloons.

Each balloon inflated to 2.5 m (8 ft) and formed a cluster 10-storeys tall.
The project, which took two weeks to realize, was part of the TV series How Hard Can it Be?
