The largest pepper grinder, created out of maple wood by Sylvain Tremblay (Canada) in January 2004, measures 11 ft 6 in (3.5 m) tall, has a diameter of 10 in (25.4 cm) and weighs 275 lb (124.7 kg).

A working, stainless steel grinding mechanism was specially built to fit the scale of the giant pepper mill. The pepper grinder has been commissioned by the owner of Via Allegro Ristorante, in Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada.
