Largest permanent light and sound show

The world´s largest permanent light and sound show comprises 33 buildings and is staged every night at Victoria Harbour, in Hong Kong. The show, entitled “A Symphony of Lights”, was developed by the Tourism Commission of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and was launched on 17 January 2004.

During a 13 minute performance the waterfront on Hong Kong Island lights up every night at 20.00 with the exterior of 22 of the city’s main buildings glowing with a myriad of vivid colours at the sound of a specally composed music, audible from the Promenade of Stars, just across the harbour. The music and narration can be heard also by radio or on mobile phones. Over a 2,000 ligghting fixtures have been used, including search lights, halo light systems, flood lights, spot lights, special effect lights, lasers, optic fibre and 2500 of LED.
