The record attempt lasted for a minimum for 5 minutes, with 708 participants dancing, although 706 participants danced for the minimum time given. It was held outdoors on the Campo Sportivo with each participant standing in a circular line around an athletics field. There were 6 dance teachers on a raised platform in the centre of the field ensuring that all particpants could watch the demonstration before and during the record attempt.
