The largest temporary coin mural used 2,546,270 one yen coins and measured 98.3 ft x 131.2 ft (30 m x 40 m). It was created as part of the Saitama Festival by the Saitamachuo Junior Chamber and Festival Committee in Saitama, Japan on 10 October 2004.

The mural depicted a portrait of John Lennon to promote love and peace. The money was all donated to the Spirit Foundation charity.
