An ensemble of 13 tap dancers from the Centre of Movement School of Performing Arts, journeyed through the streets from Portland to Gorham, Maine, USA in a choreographed routine, covering a distance of 16.73 km (10.4 miles) in 4 hr 33 min on 20 October 2002. The attempt raised funds for the Barabara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center

The dancers who completed the distance were Jaife Kahle, Brianna Boland, Meagan And Deana Romeika, Amanda and David Bell. Wendy Almeida, Shari Chaney, Shannon Mosey, Carol Jonson, Amy Coucette, Stephen Assante and Kelly Byrne.
