Longest journey by dragon boat

The longest journey by dragon boat was 294.58 nautical miles (545.56 km) and was achieved by Team Beauties & Barnacles (USA) down the Missouri River and ending in St. Charles, Missouri, USA, on 24-25 August 2010. The team of 20 completed the 339 statute miles as part of the annual Missouri River 340 race and did so in 38 hr 5 min. Theirs was the first-ever dragon boat to compete in the canoe/kayak competition.

This does not qualify for the record “longest distance by dragon boat in 24 hours” because more than 50% of the journey occurred in the flowing direction of the river (i.e. downstream).
